RULES FOR CHANGING NOMINATIVE PLURAL TO ACCUSATIVE PLURAL:
For animate feminine nouns ending with ы in the nominative plural form such
as женщины, simply drop the ы to get женщин.
For animated feminine nouns ending in "ки" in the nominative plural, if the
letter "k" is preceded by a hushing consonant such as (ч,ш,щ,ж) then ки
changes to ек.
If no hushing consonant precedes "ки" then the change is to "ok" as in
блондинки (which is the nominative plural for blondes) which changes to
блондинок for the accusative plural.
For animate masculine nouns ending with "ки" such as мальчики,
drop the "и" and add "ов" to get мальчиков.
For plural nominative nouns that end with и preceded by one of these
letters (д, дь, ч, ж, ш, щ), drop the и and change to ей. For instance:
лебеди - лебедей (swan), медведи - медведей (bear), моржи - моржей (walrus),
and люди - людей (people).
Inanimate feminine, masculine, and neuter nouns stay the same for
nominative plural and accusative plural. For instance, города is still
города, письма is still письма, рожи is still рожи, and руки is still
руки.
